Can David Cameron win this election or not?
When, about a year or so ago, I started voicing my concerns about David Cameron’s “conservativeness”, and saying that I thought I’d have to vote UKIP to be true to my beliefs and values (which are essentially small ‘c’ conservative) and especially my Euro-scepticism, my friends (and others) thought I was mad. However, over time, [...]

The Conservatives still don’t get it…
First off, let me repeat: I am by instinct and inclination a Conservative voter. My local Tory PPC is Ben Gummer, a man I’ve met several times, and whom I like. He will be, I believe, a very good MP for Ipswich, and I hope he will be elected. However, it is highly unlikely that [...]

Brown’s tears; fake or not?
Ok, we’ve all heard of the widely-trailed interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories which will be broadcast on ITV1 tomorrow at 10.15pm in which Brown blubs on TV. I think Amanda Platell has it about right in her Mail article “A crying shame the PM’s sunk so low“.
Anyway, Labour spin doctors are making much of [...]

William Hague performs well in PMQs
William Hague destroyed Harridan Harperson today in PMQs (link to BBC iPlayer) where she was deputising for the Prime Mentalist. Vince Cable did a fair job as well.
Watching HH was interesting, in a watching-paint-dry kind of way. She was poorly-prepared, wooden, perfunctory and lightweight. I’ve long been frustrated watching the Prime Mentalist blatantly not answering [...]
Cameron and the CFP
I’m indebted to a tweet for this one from James Delingpole.
Here’s the final paragraph: “I’m afraid it’s precisely this kind of spinelessness which explains why some of us find it so hard to be enthusiastic about the prospects of a Cameron administration.”
I mostly go along with JD, and this is no exception.
I’m a life-long Tory, [...]

So, what chances a hung Parliament?
